PCEO EPT Birthday Story and Photos

Meaningful, Relevant Natal Day; EPT Gives Back to the Community

“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up not doing nothing for nobody.” ~ Malcom Bane

CLARK International Airport Corporation (CIAC) President and CEO Emigdio P. Tanjuatco III may have had this in mind as he celebrated his 46th birthday by conducting a medical mission in the Aeta community in Sitio Haduan, Barangay Marcos, Mabalacat City on January 12.

With several CIAC officials and employees and his loved ones in tow, Dino, as he is called by friends, saw it fit to share his blessings with the indigenous people by giving back to the community and helping them in some of their needs.

By helping out the residents in adjacent areas through the community outreach and corporate social responsibility program, Dino has made his birthday more meaningful and socially relevant.

More than 66 Aeta families, or 264 persons, received free medical check-ups, dental check-ups and procedures for cases needing immediate attention or action, during the half-day activity.

Medicine was also dispensed during the activity while a feeding program was also conducted at the same time.

The CIAC Community Relations Department spearheaded the event with the help of CIAC officials and employees, friends of the corporation as well as private individuals such as dentists and doctors who volunteered their precious time and effort for this meaningful event.

Groups that participated include the medical personnel of the 1309th Philippine Air Force Dental Dispensary of the 600th Air Base Wing, the Local Government of Mabalacat, Cerberus, Sitio Haduan Barangay officials, and Smart Communications that sponsored the tents used at the event.

CIAC volunteer employees, meanwhile, were from various offices and departments such as from Tanjuatco’s office (Office of the President), the offices of the Vice-President for Airport Operations and Management, Vice-President for Commercial and Business Development, and the Security, Procurement, Corporate Communications, Corporate Secretary, Community Relations, the Corporate Clinic, Emergency Services, and Engineering.
