The Clark International Airport Corporation Gender and Development Technical Working Group held on November 28, 2024 Gender Fair Language to CIAC employees and locators at the Training Room.
Resource Speaker Rowena Dirain, GAD Lecturer discussed about the importance of Gender Fair Language in work places in both government and private. Gender Fair Language refers to the use of words and expressions that are associated with a particular gender, something which reinforces societal expectations of masculinity and femininity. This can include the use of masculine or feminine pronouns, gendered job titles, or gendered terms for certain activities or objects. The CIAC’s GAD Technical Working Group has been in the forefront of implementing GAD related activities under the GAD plans and programs for the corporation.
