CIAC joins the 18-Day Violence Against Women Campaign (VAWC)

The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) in cooperation with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) joins the observance of the 18-Day Violence Against Women Campaign (VAWC) that will run from November 25 to December 12, 2021.

The VAWC campaign is in accordance with Republic Act 10393 wherein November 25 of every year is the “National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children”.

The CIAC-GAD Technical Working Group lined up several activities that includes the Display of the 2021 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC Official streamers at CIAC gates, COB Building, Annex Building and along CM Recto Highway (infront of Oriental Duty Free). Uploading of the official campaign logo at CIAC website and social media platforms.

The CIAC-GAD-TWG will also distribute the 18-day campaign branding collaterals such as alcohol spray bottles, facemasks and pouches to CIAC employees and its locators. The group will also conduct in two batches webinar to CIAC employees and locators on December 6, 2021. The CIAC-GAD-TWG have invited Atty. Jose I. De La Rama and Atty. Mylen Esquivel as resource speakers in the webinar. Among the topics are Orientation on Laws Concerning Women, Magna Carta of Women, Anti Sexual Harrasment and Safe Space Act.

The group will also conduct donation drive at Tahanan ng Nazarene in Magalang and at the Aeta settlement of Sitio Haduan in the City of Mabalacat , Pampanga. Both donation drive is also part of the Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) of CIAC to the surrounding communities of the Clark Civil Aviation Complex.
