CIAC Celebrates National Women’s Month

The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) led by CIAC President and CEO Aaron N. Aquino on March 8, 2022 joined the nation in celebration of the National Women’s month to promote the agency’s advocacy towards a gender-balanced environment in accordance with the annual celebration of the International Women’s Month.

CIAC in cooperation with the Philippine Commission on Women(PCW) had been advocating a gender friendly environment among its employees and locators. The CIAC-Technical Working Group headed by Chairperson Vice President for Admin and Finance Nancy Paglinawan has lined up activities for the women’s month.

Among them are the display of Women’s Month Streamers, Online advocacy such as posting of photos and write-ups in social media platforms including the CIAC-GAD corner website, wearing of purple t-shirts among its employees. The T-shirt was designed by PCW. CIAC also will conduct webinars/seminars among its employees and locators such as Talk On Mental Health. The webinar will be in three sessions which is part of the Gender Mainstreaming program of CIAC.

On March 17 and 24, CIAC will be holding a seminar to among CIAC women employees at the Gintong PakPak in Arayat, Pampanga. The said seminar will be in two batches. CIAC will also conduct a GAD Social Corporate Responsibility  dubbed as Serbisyo Para Kay Juana wherein abondoned children at Duyan Ni Maria Children’s Home will be treated with personal items.

Others activities include the holding of Executive Briefing to MANCOM Members on the Principles of GAD and increase appreciation of GAD activities. Gender Sensitivity Training for CIAC employees and locators, Harmonized Gender and Development and Gender Analysis.
